Got a tasty recipe that you wanna share? Well, here's the place to do it. ^w^

[NOTE: If a recipe you post is not originally yours, please credit the site/book/source you got it from. Posting a recipe that is not yours and you claim it is, is plagiarism and is against the rules and law. You will receive a ban if you are caught plagiarizing.]

If you wanna share some recipes, here is the format:
Recipe Name:
Servings:
Prep. Time:
Ingredients: [Quantity, Measurement Unit, and name of ingredient]
Method:
Picture:
Extra Comments:

Here are two recipes I have in my ever so large recipe archive XD
The reason I chose these two, is that they are easy to make, fast, and have common ingredients.

RECIPE #1

Recipe Name:Rosemary Omelet

Servings: 2

Prep. Time: 25 minutes max.

Ingredients:
5 Whole Eggs
Half a tomato, diced
Half an Onion, chopped
2 Tbsp Oil (I use vegetable for this recipe)
2 1/2 Sliced chicken wieners (hotdogs)
Half a stick of rosemary, chopped
1/3 cup Grated cheddar cheese (Optional)
1/3 cup Grated Swiss cheese(Optional)
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp black pepper, ground

Utensils: Bowl, whisk (fork is fine), spatula, knife, cutting board, skillet

What to do?:
Crack all 5 eggs into your bowl.
Whisk it till whites and yolk are well blended.
Then add the salt and pepper.
Whisk s'more! At this point you can add your cheeses, if you wish.

Thaw your wieners. A fast way to get your wieners ready fast, is to remove them from packaging, run them under cold running water for about 5 minutes, then put your wieners in the microwave for about
3 1/2 minutes (on High). They should be fine. (Wow, I snickered the whole time writing that paragraph! God, I'm immature... Razz )

While your wieners are getting ready, chop them onions and tomatoes. Add them to the egg, and whisk softly. Once your wieners are ready, chop them and put them into the bowl. Whisk softly again. Put just a bit of your rosemary into the bowl, not all of it though! Now use your whisk and gently stir, don't whisk it.

Get your skillet ready now!
Oil your skillet, and heat it (medium heat). Now pour the egg mix in. Wait a bit. Then add the rest of your rosemary. Let it settle in, then fold or flip the omelet. I fold it, since my flipping is a bit rusty Razz
Let it settle, and cook. Should take less than 10 minutes, careful not to burn it!

Let it cool a bit then enjoy!

A picture of a rosemary omelette I found on Google

Extra Comments: Well, to be honest, I made up this recipe
Razz It was lunch, I was hungry, and there is no way in hell am I gonna eat that leftover pizza 0_o So, I threw some stuff together and voila! I just wrote this from memory. It's fun, easy, and yummy. Plus eggs are an excellent source of protein. Good for vegetarians.
And, I just came up with the title, since rosemary was the only not-so-typical-in-an-omelette ingredient ^^"

RECIPE #2
Recipe Name: Chocolate Cake In 5-Minutes

Servings: 1 or 2 (depends on your appetite really)

Prep. Time: 5 Minutes

Ingredients:
4 Tbsp Flour
4 Tbsp Sugar
2 Tbsp of Cocoa Powder(Baking cocoa, chocolate milk mix, hot cocoa powder are allowed)
1 whisked egg
3 Tbsp Milk
3 Tbsp Oil (I use vegetable)
***OPTIONAL STUFF***
3 Tbsp Chocolate Chips
Splash of Vanilla Extract
1 Tbsp Chocolate cream

Method:
Well, the most common way to do this, is in a large mug. But I decided to use a ceramic Tupperware container, about the size of a large mug (Only a bit bigger) I find it easier to mix it all up in the Tupperware, and you can share it easier in the Tupperware.

First add all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa.)
Then add your wet ingredients (egg, milk, oil)
Mix well! Make sure you see no white (from flour) It should be entirely brown.
Now you can add them additional ingredients. Mix well again!
Pop it into the microwave and heat for 2:30-3:00 (Yes, a cake baked in a microwave.) If you are using a mug, please remember that it is normal for it to rise over the top, so don't freak out!
Let it cool for a bit, then eat it up!

I have that all the time. Very Happy You can also use like powdered milkshake mix, like strawberry, or banana if you're not too keen on chocolate. Very Happy

Recipe #4 (?)
Recipe Name:
Yogurt Mousse

Servings:
4

Prep. Time:
I'm going to go with 1 hour & about 30 minutes (Just to be on the safe side xD)

Ingredients:
- 1 Cup of PLAIN Yogurt
- 3 Tbsp of Sugar
- 1 Cup of Whipped Cream (Take Whipping Cream/Heavy Cream & Whip it)
- 2 tsp of Gelatin
- 3 Tbsp of Hot Water

Tools:
- 3 bowls (I'll call them bowl A, B, & C (C being a SMALLER bowl then the other two.))
- A Wisk
- 4 Cups
- the REFRIGERATOR (!!!)

Method:
1. Mix the Sugar & the Yogurt into bowl A.
2. Take Whipping Cream/Heavy Cream and whip it in bowl B until it becomes the same texture as the stuff in bowl A. (Or just whip it in general until it becomes whipped cream ^^).
3. Pour the Hot Water and Gelatin into bowl C. Make sure you STIR the mixture as you go otherwise it will clump up. And that's not good >;( Share Your Recipes! 91
4. Pour all the contents of bowl C INTO bowl A. Stir IMMEDIATELY and keep stirring so it DOESN'T CLUMP UP. If it clumps up, you have to start over D=. You gotta be fast for this step you guys. 8D
5. Take the Whipped Cream from step 2/bowl B (You wouldn't just leave the Whipped Cream there all alone now would you? =D) and pour it into bowl A/the bowl with all the other stuff.
6. After mixing them, pour the mixture into the four cups that you had prepared before hand (assuming that you did).
7. Put the cups into the refrigerator to chill & harden for an hour.
8. Take them out, and enjoy!

Other Optional Stuff:
- The recipe calls for "plain" yogurt. But you can probably do it with other types of yogurt as well (such as mango, etc).
- When you take them out, you can put whipped cream on top of it, fruit, or just have it plain. Your choice because the possibilities are ENDLESS!

Pictures: (Click to enlarge ^^)
Spoiler:

Extra Comments:
Just putting it up here. It's originally from the manga "Kitchen Princess." They have a lot of recipes at the end of the book! ^^ I chose this recipe for a reason. Mainly because It's probably one of the easiest/least amount of work. Then again, now that I look at it, not really xD.
Also a quote from Najika (don't worry about who she is): "Yogurt is made with fermented milk. Dairy bacteria is good for your stomach and intestines and works to regulate your system."
So listen to her, and MAKE THIS NOW!!! 8D.

Post  Smished Mon Feb 14, 2011 1:38 am

This recipe is a tradition where me and Aqua come from, it may be old and cheap to make but it's yummy all the same~! It's for when you have left overs and don't know what to do with them. Love food, hate waste <3

Name: Staffordshire Beef Lobby

Servings: 4

Prep. Time: 100 mintues

Ingredients:
450g/1lb stewing or braising steak - fat removed and cut into small chunks
A handful pearl barley
1 onion diced
4 potatoes diced
4 celery sticks, chopped
4 diced carrots
Beef stock
Garlic (optional)

Method:
Put the meat, onion and pearl barley in a large pan and cover with water. Bring to the boil and then simmer gently on a very low heat for 40 mins.
Stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking.

Meanwhile peel and chop the vegetables to dice of a similar size

Add the vegetables to the pan and top up with stock to cover the vegetables.
Cook at a low simmer for approximately 60 mins or until everything is softly cooked and the meat is tender.
Continue to stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of pan.

Season to taste.

Serve in big bowls with chunky bread.

Picture: Can't find one ^^" It's a very local recipie, but it looks like beef stew

Extra Comments:
- Any meat and root vegetable can be used
- Cook for a longer time to get the meat more tender <3
